I think you are correct in diagnosing phosphorous deficiency or lockout. If you go back through your diary, specifically week 5 in veg., you can clearly see streaked stems all the way up to the new growth - this is a lack of phosphorous. I have multiple Laughing Buddha grows past and present, and all exhibited the same purple progression if not fed enough phosphorous. Some plants use nutrients differently, and Buddha always lacks phosphorous. The streaking won’t go away once purple, but you can try to stay ahead of it in veg. In Buddha’s case it is not genetic and regular feedings prevent purple, streaked stems, purple petioles, and dark leaves.
I can not accurately guess if you have deficiency or lockout, I just think it lacks phosphorous. I will point out that Iron excess locks out Phosphorous uptake.
