Hello, It's my fist time with hydro and my girl are doing very well, she is an Auto on second week of bloom and the PPM are around 1000 of Remo Nutrients. She are drinking 1L by day and the PPM dropped too. Must I put water with ferts or just clean water? If with ferts how much?

I do not add ferts with the water. I only top with water and do my weekly changes. In the past Iv'e found this was a way to over saturate. if you are using remo like me. I don't think you need to worry about the roots. The color is most likely from the Velo Kelp as I know that stuff is thick and brown. Smell your roots if they smell like soil or earthy. You are fine. If they smell like poop or any sort of "bad" foul smell then you need to do something about it with Hydroguard ( not available in Canada cheaply) or I use UC roots. They function and work in different ways both products are made to clean and regulate hydroponics. Not everyone needs hydroguard or uc roots.. Your water source is a big determining factor.

Harbinger may be correct, they have much more experience than I do. I try to keep EC and pH as stable as possible, maximizing her nutrient uptake and water uptake. This logically seems like the best way, but so many things about growing aren't necessarily logical and can be counterintuitive.

I lean towards starvation over saturation.. I'm not saying chevrons Approach is incorrect or bad.. We both do things a bit differently. We live in Different areas so it's really kind of how you feel about things and what you wanna try.. Both ways can make plants grow :).

If the ppm drops, it means she is taking in more nutes then water. This eats that you should up the ppms. Ppms are based on 3 different scales that can vary quite a bit, so always try to go by EC (most ppm measurements are based on the 700 scale). At this point, your EC should probably be around 1.4 to 1.6. What I have started doing is mixing my nutes at double strength which basically means just following the bottle instructions for regular strength. Then I pour half into my bucket and add fresh water until the ppms are right where I want them. The remaining nutes will be good for about a week so if ppms drop, add the double strength mixture to bring it back up. If ppms rise, then top off with plain water. This has made my life a lot easier and I haven't wasted any nutes yet. Looks like you have root rot btw. You should be using hydroguard always. In the meantime, look up how to cure root rot with hydrogen peroxide. If you just let it go, she'll probably die. Check out my GDP grow week 5 for how your roots should be looking. Hope this helps!
