Don't agree with the below comment and if you're growing organically in a living soil with microbes, molasses most definitely had its benefits! It feeds the microbes in the soil and provides plenty of nutrients too, doesn't necessarily have an effect on the trichome production, that is down to genetics, lights, temps and co2. What I do is add it once every 2 weeks in veg and once a week in flower. Boil the kettle and pour into a mug, take a warm tablespoon, dip into the molasses and then into the mug, give it a good old mix and pour into a gallon of cold /not hot water and mix again. Easy👍🌱

Guys thank you so much for taking the time to write down an answer, honestly i think it does has something to do with the microbes and i also think that the sugar (carbohydrates) Would definitely add density to the buds, i have seen many many good growers using this method and it work also is cheap and in my country we have a lot of those in bricks literally lol, anyways, thank you so much for all your debate and response, i am mixing a tea compost stuff very fruity w molasses and lil bit of floranova veggie just to give them a boost but not too much, plus floranova bloom to feed them good, i will let you know how they continue to grow but as it is right now they have been doing even better after the molasses! They started to bloom even faster tho!

Forget the molasses, it is BS and does not benefit your plant in any quantifiable way. It is an "old wives tale" perpetuated by hippies 50 years ago and should have died as a joke about 49 years ago. There is no scientific fact that molasses is beneficial to your cannabis plant. The idea of giving sugar (molasses) to make sugar (trichomes) is utterly ridiculous. Molasses may have a miniscule benefit to soil microbes, but in the whole, the nutrient companies are laughing all the way to the bank by selling sugar water at highly inflated prices. Giving your plants either fulvic or humic acid, (or both), will actually benefit your plant 1000 times more than any sugar water ever will. Combine the fulvic or humic acid with an organic P/K booster around a 0/13/14 NPK ratio and this will actually enhance flower health and is scientifically proven. Just follow the directions on the bottles and forget about molasses. For those that do not believe me, do the research, the answers are easy to find. And apologies to those that still believe in the Easter Bunny! Hope this helps,........ Organoman.

Anything from a teaspoon to two teaspoons per feed. Start out with less and gradually increase it
