You could give them some seaweed tonic, they will like that, but don't stress too much, here where I live, we once had 6 days in a row over 42 degrees C, with a top temp on one day of nearly 48 degrees C and my plants, outdoors and in full sun all day and every day, didn't skip a beat and survived without not so much as even one burnt leaf. It did require watering twice daily and lots of seaweed tonic to fortify the plants though!
BTW, night temps during this heat extravaganza were between 28 and 35 degrees C.
We get these heat "extravaganzas" every summer, 4 -8 times each summer, with 3-6 days in a row of plus 40 degrees Celsius and my plants have never really been worried by these extreme weather events.
I can't see how being hungry or thirsty leads to yellow leaves overnight and would say it is just a coincidence that the leaves have gone yellow and your extractor was off. Going yellow from being hungry is a slow process over many days, weeks even. You also don't have too be Einstein to work out that plants are thirsty during hot conditions, but being thirsty (also) does not lead to yellow leaves.
Hope this helps,......
