Hi Darren, Dont cut the leafs off because the plant is using them actually to fight its own problems, so if you remove the leaf, the plant will start to use another leaf right away so you lose a leaf and the problem will continue to spread, it's better to sacrifice the leaf to keep the problem contained. Does that logic make sense? Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi there, not recommend to defoliate if there isn’t a good reason to do.Like do some defoliation to lower down tent humidity,to make a good air flow if too bushy.Defoliate some leaves If they are damaged or shaded below the canopy.May be some lollipopping if there are too many popcorn buds underneath.Other than those, shouldn’t do.Those fan leaves are acted like extra sources of energy for plants.Only recommend to defoliate at the start of flowering circle and again at 3rd week of flower or at the end of stretching period.Later that period ,you shouldn’t stress the plant anymore and let her grow happily until harvest.Happy Growing... ✌️

Every healthy green leaf you remove will reduce your plants capacity to make energy, slowing growth and leading to potentially smaller growth, especially if done too much/excessively. Congratulations for letting your plant do its own thing, they must be really happy being "allowed" to grow just as mother nature intended! One or two funny leaves won't cause any harm, plus the elements (carbs, sugars, amino acids etc) that are in the damaged leaf will eventually be re-used elsewhere in the plant. Removing this or any other healthy green leaf denies your plant of this remarkable "store" of ready made substances for use during flowering, and is one very important fact that defoliation advocates fail to understand. This is also why leaves can/will go yellow (the fade) during flowering on otherwise healthy and well fed plants. It is far more efficient for your plant to "recycle" previously made growth substances that it has "stored" in her older leaves, than it is to grow flowers AND make these growth elements from new. Try to only remove yellow leaves, for by the tie they are yellow, they have served their purpose. Hope this helps,......... Organoman.
