How check the ph of soil with water distilled?

Soil pH can be measured with a traditional pH probe like you’re suggesting. Take 4 grams of soil and add 40ml of distilled water, shake for 5-10mins, let the suspension setting and measure the pH of the water.
You can also buy soil pH probes to measure directly, or measure the water coming out the bottom of the planter like others have suggested.

Bit you should use proper ph,ed water to water, then check the water that comes out of the planter.

After you water the first bit of water that runs out of the planter is what you check for ph and ec. Or you can get a dependable soil ph probe/meter. Cheers
