Hi, what a question!!! And as the others say it depends on what your growing where!! Basics we need is a happy medium, whether that's hydro soil Coco, a good energy source (light) some food (for me it's organics) a pH/ec meter, some good airflow and ventilation and a lot of questions/research will put you on the right path, hope this helps happy growing 👍

@Doc nice one 😂 For question : where do you plan planting them ? indoor or outdoor ? indoor you have more options but mainly those 2 : soil or hydro planting in a tent ? you need light - suggesting LED as they don't need extra cooling how many plants you planning to plant at once ? I would suggest 4 plants for 70x70x160 cm or even less depends on strain once you decided on where to grow , medium and space , you need some nutrients , check them too , keep it simple for first grow , but PH and EC meter are a must
