Controlling room temperature for digital A/C unit

Got an inkbird controller for heat/cool. My air conditioner for the room is digital. When ac kicks on it just sends power does not turn unit on. Do i need to buy a mechanical ac unit instead of digital? Many thanks

ii had that problem with the inkbird humidity controller. my first humifidier worked digital, and did not take the signal from the inkbird controller
i took a " analog" humifidier and it worked
