To chop or not? My CandyKush on day 60 If yes do I put into darkness for 24 hours or more? Only giving it PH'd water this week. This is my first grow to a harvest and don't want to screw it up now.

Looks great. I'd give it at least a week or 2. Amber on the calyxes with 90 percent cloudy trichomes would be good. Freezing the chopped veg, sugar leaf, and making bubble hash is a cool experience too. Putting plants into darkness will force the plant into flower, but not so necessary with autos. For seeds you'll have better success with some "regular male seeds". Tip: (Not for autos, but, If females aren't flowering, put plants into total darkness for 24 to 48 hours for pistils to form) (Additional; autos don't clone either). Best of luck.

When the majority of the buds look like that last photo, I would harvest. You should let it go a bit longer. Most have almost no amber and still some clear. BTW, love that microscope eh? I use it too!

There is Science behind the 48h claim by now so you can go with it, it works for a bit more Thc. For the Harvest you got some milky Trichs but could be more (atleast on the pics anyway) your good to go but you could also wait another week (i would do so but patience is rare especially for the first run😅). Anyway have a nice Harvest. 😊 Cheers.

It is not proven, but people say, that two days of darkness may trigger your plant to develop a trichome shield. It prepares for the strong light, while beeing set in darkness. People say your plant will start producing more trichomes to protect it self from the light it is not used to anymore. I don't know, if its true, but I did this on my last grow and will keep doing this, because even if it does not work... losing two days after more than three months, is not that big of a deal, I guess 😄

Flush for about another week to 10 days. Harvest after lights out. The 24hr darkness doesn't really do anything.
