Light feeding is for first time runs and plants that eat lighter. OG strains would typically be your heavy feeding strains. It depends the plant strain itself. And growing and learning and recording the information goes a long way! Water chillers are excellent and correct for DWC or any hydroponics system. I just don't use one to prove you can do a DWC system in a very warm climate ( summer time in southern California ) with a cheap ac unit and a lot of hydroguard. Check my DWC grows out. Your system is WAY better then mine brother.

Sorry if this sounds dumb haha, what’s the difference from light feeding to heavy feeding? What’s the reasoning for it? Sorry just don’t understand the reasoning of the different feeding

I’m using a iws but I didn’t like it very much so I turned the brain off and set some watering ringing up and used it as a dwc but the only problem with that is they are smaller buckets as when I used to use dwc I always used 25L buckets so I’m just hoping it doesn’t affect the yield. What do you recon about using the chiller? I’ve got it set up using the pump to pump it into chiller then the outlet from chiller goes straight to the watering rings

Like I said just don't get discouraged or disappointed. Every time you grow, you get better and experience and learn. Like I said before your system is very very awesome. Master it and you'll get some massive master buds!

I’ve just looked it up and your water from tap is 0.25 ec and when you said you start off at 300ppm that is a ec reading of 0.6 so plus my water of 0.6 my ec should be 1.2 so it does look like I’m giving them way too much food, thank you very much for your help I really appreciate it, I’ve been trying all different types of things like nitrogen, magnesium, calcium and a few others and nothing as worked lol I’ve done a couple before and not that this problem so this time I was baffled

I don't use EC but I can tell you I use tap water that sits out for 24 hours and is 125ppm right out of the sink. I can't say that your pH is wrong because I stay at 6.0 to 6.3 the entire grow. My res water bounces from 70F to 78F and I have no problems. I really think you just gave them to high a dose of nutrients. But like I said I don't use EC. I use a Primo Hanna TDS meter ( the red one ). I really wish I could tell you more. You have a awesome system so don't be disappointed, just keep getting hands on practice till you Master it. Your welcome to message me directly if you have more questions.

Always under feed in DWC. I start at 25% the recommended dose till about week 4 then I start bumping it up, or what works well also for DWC is to start at a PPM of 300 and bump it up 50 ppm a week, if you want to try heavy feeding bump it up 100 ppm. You need to flush your res and start new nutrient solution. You have nutrient lockout from to high of of feeding. It will keep burning up until the solution is changed. I don't cool my DWC buckets. All I have is 1 6inch AC infinity intake blowing on the bottom of the tent on the buckets. I do use a good dose of hydroguard and my roots are white. They show a little brown here and there when I don't rinse off the Floricious Plus that will dye your roots brown if you feed it to heavily. Check your pH and PPM atleast every other day. This is my personal opinion and my personal practice. Feel free to message me if you have any direct questions.

Way too much nutrition too soon and ph is likely off. Water temps are suppose to be cooler as well in dwc. Brown tips curling up and in, is plant nutrition burn. Do NOT go off bottle charts. They are not for cannabis. Even if it says it is, it is a lie. I run 1/3 rd my bottle strength. You will need a 4 digit tds meter and a good always calibrated ph tool. Not a cheap yellow one. Plus temp probe for water if you want to do dwc right.
