Is Stonington plant food good for the flowering stage because everything I've read says to lower the nitrogen and raise the potassium and phosphorus and that those two ingredients should definitely be higher but in Stonington plant food nitrogen is the highest so what gives

That actually isn't for Cannabis plants. Try to get a nutrient made for Cannabis. You can use that but it will not be very beneficial at all. Feel free to message me and I can reccomend some great nutrients that my growing group have tested and experimented with.

You need to get specific fertilizers designed for cannabis cultivation and not general gardening fertilizers, which might be great for your Grannys' garden, but not designed for cannabis obviously, which has specific needs and these cannabis specific needs are not found in general gardening fertilizers. You are correct though, when flowering cannabis needs a good supply of both phosphorous and potassium and only a very small need for nitrogen.
