Speed of growth - optimization?

What do you think about the speed of the growth? I’m using my LED currently at 40% (100% = 185W) for the first week. Can I already increase it to 60%?

The wattage really doesn't matter..you have to find out what ppfd your lights are giving out at diff heights and wattage and how much your plant needs at what stage. You should have between 300 and 400 ppfd at that stage. If growth looks stunted most likely needs more light. (DLI) daily light interval should be around 40. Good growing

You can boost the light to 100%—- just make sure you have enough distance. Seedlings are at least 24-48 inches away from my 660w beast at 100%. For fast growth—- I don’t feed nutrients to my plants until week 3/4— however I do feed them microbes. Microbial life hydro photosynthesis plus—- and mycorrhizae… big boosters! Good luck! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨

I have always used 100% and both the grow and bloom lights switched on from day one until harvest. This works for me and I just vary the distance of the light from the plants. About 60cm is ok for seedlings. If after a few days they look a bit elongated/stretched, move the light closer. If this plant is one week old, it is fine, if as it says in the picture that it is 3 weeks old, it definitely needs more light. Hope this helps, Organoman.

I'm no master grower but the best thing that I have found is to follow the manufactures recommendations. Mine seem to like 30" from the top of the canopy at full blast. Running a 650W full spectrum LED. I personally gave my plants until the first true set of leaves were grown in before upping the light. Keep an eye out for heat/light stress. The leaves will start to twist and get wavy when that occurs.

Autos run a much different life cycle. They take a bit of time to get going. You’ll usually see white pistols (hairs) begin to form around 4-5 weeks. About a week after that is when you’ll really start to see them pick up steam. 🌱

I personally like to give them 2 weeks under less powerful lights. This is when your plant the the most fragile. After that then I like to use the light at about 60-75% for a few weeks then turn it up to full blast for flowering. But there’s nothing wrong with giving them the full power of your light, if they can handle it. It’s more traditionally done by simply raising your light higher in your grow area and lowering it towards the plant as you notice stretching. Which ever you choose, just keep your eye on her- she’ll let you know if she’s hurting 🌱

You want to keep it from stretching so what I do is I give them a lot of light. I just make sure their not getting heat from the light, so I move the light up until there is very little heat being felt from the light. In nature, they get full sun right from the start. I find them to grow much faster with lots of light and little heat. You can check out my grow from germination if you like. Cheers
