Ok Yesterday she was doing well I touched the top too see if I could cut it but I didn't, so this morning I notice the top was getting brown and I don't know if I should top it off so it wouldn't effect the lower half

Why would you cut the top? It's a bit too late for topping, and she doesn't look nearly finished from what I see on that pic. Do avoid touching buds.

Leave it alone until it’s done. Let her run her course and do the work for you. If you want a smell do a stem scratch or stem rub to smell.
Anytime you touch the flower it will burst the sacs and also bruise the flower as shown here.
