Best way to store seeds long term?

What is the best way to store seeds long term? I've been keeping em in the fridge... advice input opinions appreciated...

yep in the fridge. Since I store them in my everyday fridge and I open it often I have them in a small dark container inside a larger container to avoid temperature fluctuations. Also I like to put silica packs in with them to ensure no moisture gets to them. When you go to get your seeds make it quick to avoid condensation.

I have seeds sitting in a baggie in the basement from 20 years ago, and their still white inside. The last time I started any of those seeds was 4 years ago and every seed popped.
