Cut off leaves for better bud development?

PeppaWutz

I saw some diaries where plants have nearly no leaves and produce a nice amount of good looking buds. Is it recommended to cut of most of the leaves at the end of flowering, that the energie goes into bud development?

Some people say not to trim at all, and some like to really trim their plants, there's big debates about that. I like to trim a little in late veg, just once, mostly the older leaves and some just to let more air and light into your plant. In late flower I try and remove all leaves with a long stem and some of the older leaves that are a bit discoloured. Again this let's more air and light in and the chances of mold or mildew on your plants goes way down. I've had great success growing this way.. Hope this helps👊..

If your having a problem with the RH being to high in the area you grow in then I would recommend removing a few leaves to create better air flow through the plant to prevent bud rot. But if your environment is fine I would leave it alone.

unfortunately thats not how 'energy' works. mainly it's a fashion that comes from a technique that is used just for esthetic purposes. you remove some leafs to take nice pictures, but then everyone copies you. it's completely useless to cause stress to a plant during flower like that , for sure it doesnt help at all. hope this helps! 🚀

Hello peppawutz in late flowering i think it is useless to make a defoliation. It will bring more stress for less benefits. If you want to defoliate the next time do it during veg one time and a second time at week 3 of flowering. Good luck. Bye
