Honestly 24 hours is enough to increase any resin content and help degrade the chlorophyll a bit which helps improve final terpenes and flavour aroma etc But this is how we learn from our mistakes I mean if we just copied others we would never discover new things so I say good on you for experimenting

Hi @tictac789 I think you made the problem a lot of us do when first starting a grow. You over think. We are all partial to this and we are always learning, myself included. In your previous post last week you suggested a 10 day dark period and changed to a 5 day dark period? Where are you getting this information from, or is not a good idea and nothing I've ever read (and that's a hell of alot) has suggested anything longer than 48 hours! Even that is deemed not necessary and not proven to increase anything in every one growing and every type of plant and condition its grown in. (not saying it doesn't help but not necessary) Also dude, just like myself I reckon you could have gone another week or so before harvest but I'll look forward to the pics! Hey there, 5 days is too long for a dark.period... your plant is dying the trichomes are degrading and the grow is getting ruined now...that's why no one does 5 days of darkness... Now you know! Better luck next time! 🚀
