PH Fluctuation Early Signs?

GreenLiving
GreenLivingstarted grow question 3 years ago
I am worried that I either have early signs of PH fluctuations outside of 6.0-7.0 range or early signs of a calcium deficiency. As you can hopefully see in the picture the tips of the first set of true leave seem to have little spots of discolouration. Any help is appreciated😊

Plants look fine! New leaves will always be a bit paler at the beginning... that's natural! Don't worry about the discoloration at this stage!! The first leaves are pretty much always a bit funky. You may have stressed them out, though by feeding them a little too early! With my autos (which is all I grow), I leave them alone until they're about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks old and then start them off with 1/4 of the nutes. The next time I feed, I bump that to 1/2 strength and then full strength. Definitely add some microbes to that first feeding as they help the root structure become large and strong and they also help prevent lockout. As always, alternate feeding and watering... and always wait until they're bone dry. They're named AUTOflowers for a reason... they're pretty much going to do what they're going to do and as long as you ensure the ph of your soil is within range, they'll turn out just fine. Both your temp and humidity look good... good luck with your grow and relax! Enjoy the journey!

Watch that you do not over water them. That will cause weird twisted mutated growth as well. Growing in soil PH of 6.5-6.8 is fine. Remember autos do not feed as much as photoperiods and can cut the nutrient feed by 1/4 for seedlings or none at all for the first few weeks. https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/med-man-method-feeding-chart-ppm-ec.47856/ I recommend you get a TDS pen to measure EC of your feeding solution to avoid problems. Good Luck!

Your plant looks fine. Maybe a touch of light heat stress.

That is just new growth after a day or two that will get darker and you’ll see more light green form. If the whole plant was the lime green it would be concerning but you look fine
