It can finish faster or taken even longer.
I would aim for about 10% amber trichomes before chopping my plant. "this is one part of many some people use to determine readiness"
I do not flush so I just do it the day of. If you plan on flushing add that time in front of when you plan to chop.
try to look closely to the trich's on the buds and see if they are changing colour, can use a magnifying glass to help.
