Midddle is where the light is strongest and warmest, meaning the plants there will need more water than the others. Each plant is an individual with its own water and nutrient requirements, even two seeds from the same packet will have different needs, you can't just say every plant gets ABC and they should all be happy, different phenotypes need different water and nutrition. Not everyone likes brussel sprouts do they?

Maybe you watered them all at the same time, when 20% didn't need any water yet. That could have caused overwatering. The soil needs oxygen, too much water and the roots drown. Get well soon!

Tough to say for sure....what are you growing in? That pic on the left def looks like it was dried out and in need of watering

In the first pic the plant is under watered. The plant in the 2nd pic looks to be normal? just entering flowering stage. Best to link your Diary to the question or provide more details of your environmentals and feeding schedule. I'm not convinced this is fusarium wilt, unless your using soil from outside or reusing it from an older grow where it was present before. Best Of Luck!

definetly a root problem, probably fusarium, the best imho is to get red off the plant. if you see in the main stem 2cm under the soil and it looks brown is definetly fusarium spp disease.
