After some experience with 420fastbuds autoflowerings (one of them is in the diaries) I switched to this strainhunters MoneyMaker. Did I do well? Next step outdoor bio dynamic! Follow me pleaseeee

Stop growing generic mass produced seedbank seeds and find real breeders from counties actually producing potent dense bud.

You could have got lots more and a lot sooner had you not defoliated so heavily in week 12. All the plants energy comes from the leaves. Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. It really is that simple! Plants can not divert/channel energy, all energy is used equally wherever there is growth occurring. The biggest misunderstood principle when it comes to growing is "leaf removal causes the plant to divert energy into bud growth". Since ALL of the plants energy is made by the leaves, how can leaf removal result in excess energy being diverted to bud growth??? If you are worried about the lower parts of the plant not getting enough light, instead of handicapping her with drfoliation, use a lot more training and get her growing more horizontally instead of vertically next time around. To be honest, for 5 months it is not a lot, but I am sure you gained a wealth of knowledge and it is always extremely satisfying harvesting something you grew yourself! Perhaps upgrading your light for your next indoor grow would see you harvest more and sooner too. but now that you are entering the realm of outdoor organic growing of photoperiod plants, hopefully you will realize autos really are a waste of time and effort. Especially outdoors! Try some Sweet Seeds photoperiod seeds outdoors, the results will blow your mind! Purple Punch OG, Indigo Berry Kush, Gorilla Girl, Black Jack, Do Sweet Dos, Zenzation, Cream Caramel, Gorilla Sherbet, San Fernando Lemon Kush and Tropicanna Poison being some of my favourites and highly recommended. Barneys Farm also have some good ones, Shiskaberry and Blue Sunset Sherbet especially.

Getting a harvest is successful since it is a challenge to make it through the duration of months, and maintain her. You did great. Autoflowers are for more experienced growers, but they don't make much point of it due to marketing, and the smoke screen of fast weed Sells. It's big money across the industry. To grow autos in my preference I grow in coco/perlite or hydro to get the most out of them. Enjoy your harvest 🌱

I think the big thing that coulda slowed it down was that huge defoliation around day 80-85.. but awesome work on topping and mainlining/manifolding and LST. That stuff really helps you understand how the plant grows and what not.

It’s all subjective.. there will be some ppl that will tell you yes and some no.. do you feel you learned a good amount and not only got a good end product but built upon the knowledge from other grows towards a solid foundation moving forward? That’s just as important in my eyes as the physical end product, if not more. First couple years growing I did a lot of experimenting and trying diff mediums, techniques, etc.. it’s served me well. Good job on first non auto, hope it has you convinced to stick with photoperiods..

you can definitely be satisfied! getting your own harvest is a reward in itself and you should be proud for completing a grow! i bet you learned a lot over the past 20 weeks and that is something to be satisfied with!! that said, i feel like the yield was probably a bit disappointing to you, especially for such a long veg and flower. i also find the final yield a bit sad for a long grow and all you put into it I went through your journal and i think the biggest problem was that you tried TOO HARD. it looks like you tried every technique in the book, which overstressed the plant. i also feel like based on the nutes in the diary that you overfed and the plants suffered from nute lockout. TONS of salts in all that was added. next grow, be more lazy :). let the plant do more on its own strength. also check your salt-based nutes instructions. on mine they recommend feeding only once or twice a week in soil. if you wanna feed with liquid nutes you should definitely check out growing in coco. coco requires all the nutes to come from liquid as it is inert and provides no nutes like soil does.
