any idea what's wrong? looks like overwater or underwater but its not. both plants droop and one has spots on costs of leaves.

Most likely overwatered them and locked out nutrients. That will cause symptoms of deficiencies you see here

Yep I agree, the leaf damange looks like PH out of balance and the droopy leaves looks like the roots are deprived of oxygen( over watering )
