Pollination, from the time a pollen grain lands on a viable pistil, takes about 20-30 minutes for the pollen grain to fertilize the ovary/seed contained within the calyx at the base of the pistils. Spraying water at night has very little chance of doing anything useful apart from encouraging mould to grow. Using pollen from hermaphrodite plants will just breed hermaphroditism into the next generation, leading to an increased population of hermaphrodite prone plants. You want to use pure males and pure females only, for breeding. If you only found one half formed green seed and can find no male flowers anywhere, is there anything really to be worried about? Do you have friends/neighbours that grow? It could be pollen that came into your room attached to your clothes, or it could be just a weird seed that "spontaneously" formed for no reason other than plants do strange things from time to time. Flushing will do nothing to prevent seed formation or cure it, nor will it cause your flowers to "lose weight". The flowers are already there, they can not shrink. Have a look at my diary called "Holy Mackerel" to see pictures of male and female baby flowers and also pictures of hermaphrodite flowers. This may give you an insight into what to look for and where to look for male flowers. Unless there are "bananas" popping up in large numbers, there isn't really too much need to panic and remove this plant. If there was a male flower or many more, you would be finding similar sized seeds all throughout all your plants. To just have one green seed and no evidence of male stamens/flowers/bananas, I would put it down to either stray pollen brought in inadvertently, or my prime explanation would be the freak seed forming for no reason, other than the plant doing something weird. I have found odd seeds without explanation from time to time, and even if they go brown and look mature, one soft press and they will shatter because they were barren/empty seeds. Plants are never 100% perfect, they are living organic beings and just like a human that gets hiccups, so can a plant and produce a weird seed for no reason. I would keep an eye open, but not panic or do anything drastic just yet, the attempted "cure" could be worse than the "problem" itself. Hope this helps,...... Organoman.

That is a very tricky situation you got there, I'd suggest going thoroughly through your grow space looking for a hermi/male plants and get rid of them ASAP if they didn't open and spread the pollen yet (collect pollen and keep in the freezer if you intent on breeding). Pollination from nearby plants is also possible since it's an air pollinated plant, in this case keep an eye out for any more seeds on your plant if you see more seeds and that the flowers stopped fattening then harvest her as quickly as possible to prevent any more seeds developing (spraying water on the plant every now and then during the dark/night cycle may also help against pollination but never got to experience with it so I can't recommend it). Hope this helps! good luck and happy growing :)
