Number of leaves points and genetic

Does the 9-pointed leaves mean that my NL contains more sativa genetic? If someone was growing SensiSeeds Northern lights before, how were the leaves? Thanks

The number of blades/points on a plant leaf has no relationship or indication to either sativa or indica genetics, nor does it reflect anything else such as potency, health or vigor, it is all controlled by genetics. I have had both sativas and indicas with 13 fingered leaves. Fat, broad and usually shorter blades are usually associated with indica genes and long thin blades are usually associated with sativa genes. The picture you posted certainly shows a plant with strong indica genes, judged solely on leaf shape in my opinion, which is to be expected from Northern Lights. Hope this helps, Organoman.

my sensi nl had thin bladed leaves with double serrations. thin bladed leaves are generally observed in sativas but nl is an indica and its sativa looking leaves dont mean much. if you want lysergic effects from nl you can harvest early. when harvested a little early it can provide a pyschedelic effect but at the cost of some dry weight. of course this also depends on the specific pheno you got going there.

Nope the more fingers the happier and hungrier your beautiful plant is the style of your leaves however does tell you, that is indica dominant as the short fat leaves where as a sativa has long thin fingers 👍
