Could this be mildew?

Hi all, I've been stressing out about high humidity levels in my tent, and a chemical smell when I smell my fingers after running them through the buds. Could this be mildew? Or just very frosty buds? On the microscope I see thin "hairs", but looks like undeveloped trichomes...

If the white is ON your leaf itself, not elevated above it, it could be powdery mildew. Take your magnifying glass and see if you notice anything directly on the leaves. If it's just a bunch of clear-ish "hairs" sticking up, those are either the start of trichomes, or trichomes that had their heads knocked off.

https://www.420magazine.com/gallery/data/500/EvoCam3.jpg Not the best picture.. it can sometimeslook like a net over melted trichomes.. but you can see a bunch of extra projections and growth that is distinctly different then a simply slalk and head of a healthy trichomes... when buds dry/cure the trichomes do melt/gel a bit.. just in case you scope some finished buds. https://i.imgur.com/AnF1O.jpeg This image is extreme but shows the white blotchiness that you can recognize... https://d3atagt0rnqk7k.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/25094516/cannabis-mold-1.jpg Leaf on left is better to see how it starts... but even smaller roundish shape. By the time you can see it, it is spreading. Gently removed overtly infected parts, and treat entire plant... preferably isolate it from the rest of the room. Within 2-3 weeks it'll be a major issue if ignored. Even fighting it is mostly futiles. Most methods merely hold it in check. Continue to treat even if you can't see it.

I don't see mildew on your triches.. i am going to do a lil google search for an example image.. it's very distinct when there is a layer of hyphea (spelling) covering trichomes... just in case i don't find one... You can clearly see the stalk and head of each trichome - this is good. There's no "net" over it. It doesn't look weighted down and interconnected by some sort of white mesh covering. (hyphea) On leaves it'll for a small circle (colony) at first then spread very quickly... It spreads where you cannot see it once it puncutres the leaves for nutrients. The mycelium network will then impact petioles, then stems from there... or branch out if it less likely formed on some stems first. Not impossible, just less likely. So when removing any potential infected materia, depending on how long it's been spreading, you may have to remove more than just a leaf. I don't see any WPM - white powdery mildew.
