What are the best strains for climate in south eastern NY for outdoor? Super silver haze worked well last season. My other plants (different strains) all got bud rot in mid September.

One thing to keep in mind pick a spot that offers the most wind air movement. One thing I read too some people use a leaf blower to gently blow off plants after rain or morning dew .I can't do outdoors because of that same problem heavy morning dew here

it's tough to say... what they advertise and reality are 2 drastically different things... just bcause you pair 2 plants that exhibit such a trait doesn't mean all the offspring will have it too... and especially unknown if not tested thoroughly with large sample sizes. simple fact is the climate is more conducive to this sort of infection... more humidity, bit warmer and for longer periods of time per year. Consider Autoflowers. If RH is only bad at end of summer you can get a crop of autoflowers to harvest before that point.. might need 2-3 weeks indoors to make sure you miss the high RH etc... probably need to plant more of these smaller plants, but could significantly reduce risk by avoidign the RH.

I don't think it was your choice of strains last summer - there were so many, many people who ended up with bud rot and some, like me, lost their entire summer grow to it and I'm up here in Maine! I think you just have to look for strains with a very high resistance levels ... Good luck...
