High there fellow practicioners of horticulture, I am slowly coming to the end of my very first grow. I am afraid of a mold hazard in the coming weeks, is the current state of the plants alright for the finishing line? Temps: 25 on, 20-21 off RH: 55 on, 65 off

here's the thing with molds --- they spread faster in drier environments and reproduce faster in moister environments... Stick to whatever you vpd says you should be at or just try to be around 50%. <65% for mold concerns, for sure. There are competing factors here.. what;s best to control transpiration and what is risky. It's going to be a bit higher humidity than ambient in the volume of air immediately sorrounding leaves, which is the more important measurement. So, to be safe, i'd reduce to 45-55% range of control. the more foliage, the more moisture released into the air. The RH% spike is at leas in part tied to the drop in temerature. A slightly warmer temp will reduce that spike, if dehumidifier cannot keep up. if yo don't have a dehum, get one large enough fro teh entire room, not just tent size. If you exhaust outside or to an isolated area, you can go a bit smaller.. .but always better to get larger for dehums and humidifiers / ac / heaters etc... less wear-n tear and usually more efficeint due to scale typically pays off in total cost of onwership over lifetime of unit(s). Just like duct fans.. get the one you can run at 50% or lower.... Not the one you gotta run 80-100% .. it'll be louder and you'll kill the fan faster -- just have to buy one sooner, relatively speaking.

Hey Steve, thanks for your answer, you told me in DMs to maybe use sticks or sth like that to keep the branches apart, but I don't have any room left for them to spread into also.. I have bought a huge ass dehumidifier which is in my room, but has the size for my whole apartment. Before that my humidity was +80 when the lights were off.. One downside of it is, that I can't put it into the tent, it's way too big. I try to stick around at a VPD of 1.3-1.4, I give it a margin of +-0.1 to 0.2 VPD. I try to keep the drop in temperature low (as I said it's a minus of 4-5 °C). I am just thinking, even if I let the dehumidifier run at full speed, at nights, the tent is still at around 60ish RH. When does the concern for mold in flower get serious? Before I had the dehumidifier and the radiator, every morning I would see puddles of water on the leaves touching each other, that hasn't happened since. Is that a good indication of being on the safe side? You are correct when you said that it's not only the temperature drop, but also other factors working together to have a mold buildup. Thank you for your timr

I am cutting off as many fan leaves as I can without stressing the plant at all, maybe a handful of leaves every session or couple of days, depends on the current state of the plants. I am afraid of the budsites sticking to each other and start to mold, but especially on one plant, (the top view picture in this questions) has so many little tops stacked closely to each other, that for making space for them, I would clhave to cut off almost every single fan leave, which leads me to schwazzing the plants (I intend to incorporate this into my arsenal of techniques on my second grow). Right now though, I am trying to finish this one... Any help???
