I've noticed new leaf growth is red. Recent temperature at night drops very low (13°C) and daytime temp does not get very high either (18°C), even with lights. Is cold the cause of the reddening? Or is it because I've added an extra light and it's now getting too much light?!

It looks perfectly fine bro, maybe a little too much nutrients. And it's the light powerful enough and close enough?

Hello luvrin, your girl is looking good. The red is due to stress she is having, probably the cold envirement. Its not gonna kill her, its only gonna make her stronger if you act on the signs. So not to worry. To answer your question, your tempreture day and nighttime is way to low at this stage. Your still in veg so it should be between 28 and 26 degrees celcius and at night between 21 and 20 degrees celcius. In flower its different you want it to be cooler as you try to copy nature itself. week 1, 2 and 3 of flower 25.5 at daytime and 18 or 19 at night week 4, 5 and 6 of flower 24 at daytime and 17 or 18 at night week 7, 8 and 9 or more 22.5 at daytime and NOT lower than 15.5 at night Put a heater inside your room of growroom. As far for your ph, i would crank it up to 6.5 at this stage of veg. I hope this was an helpfull answer. Keep on growing my friend. Peace 👍

Hello The cold could be a little stresst for your plants. But its not that bad. I should try to warm the room a little bit more. Red is not that bad. I also have that on some plants. Just keep on the nutrients, good root product. And perhaps a little warmer climate.. Gtz

Red stems are pretty usual, had this even in my grows with temps about 25 degree. Also some genetics and even phenotypes within genetics sometimes show of nice red or orange colors. Earlier that year I had two Hulkberry ladies who showed up nice red colors, the other two stayed green. But if possible you should aim for at least 20 degree during lights on. Lower temps can slow down your grow. During flower you should reach about 18 degree.

Hello to you There is no problem is the cold This delays growth but nothing serious you miss a few degrees you can win with a heating cable for reptile that costs nothing Know that some genetics are more resistant to cold than others. Og kush dinafem or super skunk sensi seeds or blueberry self from pev seeds May the strength be with you 💪

It’s the cold ! But it’s a bit like if they were in the Hindu Kush mountains, spring can be a bit chilly. Work on your roots, with some roots enhancers and some amino acids, it will help her.

@luvrin whilst its true some plants are genetically prone to have that colour stems it can also be a sign of a phosphorus deficiency due to incorrect ph Check out this link and it will explain more Best of luck https://www.growweedeasy.com/purple-stems-cannabis-seedling

Dont worry about the rd stems. its just the genetic. If possible get a small infraredheater with thermostat. ( around 30 bucks on amazon) and let her run at 22 degreeat least. Its way to cold for the girl to develop . and she may need some growing nutrients. to me she looks limegreen or is it only in the pictures=?

Hey Luvrin!! She is looking nice👍👍 Due to the fact the she looks very healthy and all of your other aspects like pH an what not look good. I would say that it is most likely due to the cold. especially at those temps color can come out very quick, It usually happens late in flower but that is due to how we try an mimic mother nature so naturally it gets colder as the plant nears harvest. however in you case since your in veg I would recommend getting the temps up a to lowest 65*F at night and any where from 68 to 75*F lights on if you can. that will help the plant get optimal growth. Sure it could probably survive and grow but it most likely will not be able to grow to it's fullest potential. Hope that helps!! Happy Growing an Plentiful Harvests!!🙏
