Express Winter Session - First Coco Try

Hello everyone,it's your fellow grower friend HighRoller back again with a winter grow diary.Due to new photoperiod seeds I ordered getting to me too late,I decided to go with what I have in my hands.7 pots,all autoflowers More specially,this is my first coco try.I'm going full coco,no perlite.I'm using Plagron Cocos Premium as media and Plagron Cocos A&B Base Nutrients + GHE Calmag as fertilizers. Going pretty simple on this grow. I got my new EC meter so I can follow my solution values better. Bought 2 new HPS lights to ensure better light diffusion over plants.500W total 2 x 250W HPS LSD-25 (2gal) CBD Crack (2gal) Zkittlez (2gal , 5gal) Blue Dream (3gal , 5gal) Girl Scout Cookies (2gal) Media : Plagron Cocos Premium Nutrients : Plagron Cocos A&B , GHE Calcium Magnesium , Plagron Green Sensation and AN Rhino Skin both to be added in flowering I directly put seeds into their final pots.Before that,I watered pots with 0.5/lt Cocos A&B and 1ml/lt Calmag so that seedlings find some amount of nutrients when they first pop up. they grow too fast.been watering them every other day,they are healthy Zkittlez #2 is obviously N sensitive.Both Blue Dreams have signs of heath stress,some curled up leaves.This is most likely because I put two lights very close to each other.As I moved them away,heat signs tend to disappear. EC 1.2 pH 6.0 1lt of water every other day.Including 1ml of Cocos AB and 1ml GHE Calcium Magnesium. HST was applied on both Blue Dreams and Zkittlez #5 . LST for whole group also. Im uploading day 10 and 14 photos so that you see how is the difference in 4 days. Thanks.

Everything is good. Zkittlez #2 was flushed with 5lt of water, Cocos A downed to 0.5 for her. photos taken at day 21

Both Zkittlezs and LSD-25 stepped into flowering.Blue Dreams and CBD comin a bit later.Cookies is a very slow progressing one apparently,only a few preflowers.I knew there was something wrong about it...but still going. They are getting big and bigger sorry for darkness in the photos

I started doing defolation on zkittlezs and lsd-25. Blue Dream #5 and CBD coming right behind BD #3 still have one more week I guess

well.. they started to swell up...

zkittlez plants smell peppery and fruity together.exotic odor. lsd smells fruity too.smells like home cleaning agent. trying some lsd-25 sample right now.nice 😏

gettin big and ready. citrusy,fruity smell from lsd25.sweet,sugary smell from big zkittlez.more citrusy,sweet smell from little zkittlez.cbd crack has very very sharp metallic lemon smell,it is ultra strong and smells like iron & lemon.little blue dream is getting frosty so quick that I think its going to be the star of this grow.fast budding,very high levels of trichomes,just like big blue dream.both smell sweet grapefruit,orange.loving this grow so far

Zkittlez in 5gal pot was flushed for one time this week,with 30lt of water,no ph adjustment.Just because I've noticed some early nute burn.I flush until I see much more clear runoff water,almost pure transparent.EC was at 5.0 before flush with golden colored runoff,was only 700 at the end with whiter look.Then I gave her 1ml of B and Calmag + 0.5ml Green Sensation Both zkittlezes have skunky smell.big one has more fruity,little one has more citrusy. CBD Crack thing has mettalic citrus smell,ultra sharp! really like a piece of iron left in a box full of newly harvested lemons Big blue dream has that sweet grapefuits,oranges smell.But that 3gal Blue Dream has an incredibly classy smell.I will describe later. Really consistent strain.Pastel green indica leaves.Loves low stress bending training.My fault was,I removed the rope in week 5 because I thought the main stem was already bent enough and it would stay like that,it didn't and got up to light in a day.couldn't be able to bend again from then.She had no nutrient burn signs even when EC was over 2.2 .leaves were still solid green at harvest and the smoke is really pure,I didn't flush it.Harvest the top half at the end of week 10,left the bottom half for 1 and half week and chopped it down too.For a plant in 8lt pot,it gave nice amount of buds I think.If buds weren't that fluffy,it would easily give over 70g. anyway,I had ordered this seed 2 years ago,it was in fridge,I gave her a chance and I'm happy about it.Thanks for reading and reviewing. 🙌 🙏

big zkittlez was harvested at the end of this week.I always remove blocking fan leaves. girls are frosty af.

For a plant that stayed in vegetation only for 2 weeks,it gave a great yield to me. 180g dry,fat buds with sweet indica effect.it simply wanted to grow forever.branches were looking for more light.I only supercropped the main stem at week 3,base was huge at the end.I've got too many springtails in the pot,didn't care about them.Zkittlez really loves LST and HST and I think it would like other training methods as well.It had solid green leaves like the little zkittlez, last effort yellowing was intended,I flushed it for once near harvest.It was a little bit more sensitive to bloom nutrients than other plants in the room.Overall it was a strong and big plant,very productive,I can't imagine what would it be like if it stayed in veg for 2 more weeks.Cheesy smell during grow,sweet piney smell after curing.And this is a great hash plant.Tons of hash was obtained while filling jars,all pure quality.Great plant for hash extraction.buds are too sticky.

left 4 dead still doing well Blue Dream in smaller pot smells exactly like baby's room with lots of doritos sprinkled on the ground.Really its smell is from another planet

It was definitely growing like what I expected. First seed from the same batch was grown 2 years ago under hot and dry summertime conditions and it was still very productive and compact.Nothing disappointing from the second one.It has grown into a tree,biggest plant I've harvested up to date.Its roots were coming out of 18lt (5 gallon) pot at the end of week 2.It was highly surprising for me,simply showing the power of coco.This plant is always looking for the sun,its branches grow and grow.Even the very bottom branches had at least 7 more couple of growth nodes in them,that was pretty satisfying.It was a true big plant,not a tall and lanky,fluffy looking plant.Even though it can show some heat stress signs like leaves tacoing but its yield and quality not getting affected by it.Proven 2 years ago under really hot conditions with no cooltube.Leaves were the same but high and compactness were great. Separately,this one smelled like very sweet oranges,grapefruits throughout and it was appetizing.Very frosty buds and sugar leaves,even bigger fan leaves had snow on them. Strong genetics,you don't get the same pheno each time but you get the same compact buds with almost same high.Coco + more light make it grow bigger.Big yielder,great high.I won't be growing trees indoors anymore is this was a tiring run.Lifting,moving,caring all hard but it is definitely worth it in the end.

this time I tried whole plant drying because it was really small.I live trimmed it for 2 days then cut and hang.for the size of pot and itself,also very airy buds,it gave 59g total.

it was a litle bit hard to grow.was in 7 lt pot.still gave nice amount of buds.just wanted to give another small pot a go

11lt pot,ended up with 151g dry buds,beautiful production.amazing phenotype. Vegged for 5 weeks at least,flowering started a bit late.let me say it flowered for 11-12 weeks What I've learned from this grow : -Coco is the way to go for me from now on.Better control over plants,almost immediate nutrient effects,better aeration obviously,I got springtails throughout but didn't mind.I think I can say I reached a good hydro growth rate in my first ever try. With that so called girl scout cookies auto that would definitely give at least 90-100gr (I cut it down because it wasnt flowering) , I would have over 750gr under 500w light . Now I have 650g of total dry buds. This makes 1.3gr per watt -Separate lighting makes a great light diffusion over plants. 2 x 250w hps did well. -It was my first time using plagron nutrients and coco medium,they were all great in my opinion and I highly recommend. -Since I wasn't growing in a tent and window was always half open,the room had optimal CO2 levels and this made some difference(my observation) -Going from 2ml/lt of base nutes to 3ml/lt didn't make any difference.Go easy on nutes. -Growing is a bigger addiction for me than smoking since I started growing 2 years ago Thanks to anyone who followed,commented,liked or stopped by this diary at least once.
