Autoflowers need a light mix substrate with a lot of perlite for bigger plants. I prefer liquid nutes especially with autoflowers. I have had over 10 ounces dry harvest from autoflower plants so the choice is up to you. Good luck

the stuff that makes up various fertilizers are ubiquitous ingredients.. commodities.. so, ammonium nitrate whether it comes in a pre-dissolved or dry form is always ammonium nitrate. So, whatever is best for you... dry nutes last longer. you can store them for decades if cool and dry. liquids may be 7-10 years or less depending on contents. liquids are more convenient but also cost more. the regional DLI in your area and this time of year will be one of the largest factors in regard to your yield.. you can google with your location and "DLI map" ... should be 1 map per month showing averages for that time of year. probably diminishing returns above 35-40 dli unless you can shomehow raise co2 outside in a targeted way. consider any obstructions during light houts... for example my backyard only gets direct sunlight through a gap in trees for about 6 hours, maybe 8 if lucky... i figure they get 1/4th to 1/3rd of the DLI for my location, lol. then of course clouds and such, so >35-40 will be needed to max out as i sit here conversing with myself.
