What you're describing is something commonly called "Companion Planting" Indoors I don't know a lot of benefits but outdoors there are tons, as some plant will bring in beneficial predators to help control pests and other can help provide nutrients when they die and get mixed into the medium then decompose like clover. or they can provide ground cover to help prevent splash back. something like creeping thyme will do this or grass. Its good to note that the additional plants can also cause issues with root space/drainage and resource management/fertilizer requirements in smaller plots. Not a lot of plants are as heavy feeding as cannabis so the extra nutrients they eat can burn the companion plants. Looks into it and try some stuff out. Good Luck!

In same area not in same potter. I have my outdoor veggies starting in a small tent with a plant that is vegging. I rather the extra light go to a plant then just lost. 👍🏻

I am growing some marigolds and pansies in solo cups. I put them in the spots that light hits the floor. When my girls fill up the tent. They are mature enough for transplant if warm enough outside. If it’s still cold out I pot them and put outside in pots. As long as they don’t interfere with the cannabis I don’t see any problems. Just my experience. Have fun
