No. Damaged leafs are still fully functioning energy drawing leafs unless they're hanging down. And dead they're still doing their job. Any defol during a key growth stage. Is a no no. As Pre flower is a growth stage. Id leaf tuck if you want to allow the lowest leafs to catch some rays. As in pre flower that's all your plant does with the light it uses the leaves to grow your plant. Until calyxs have formed (bud) your leafs are your rains and can't be handed over to your bud (until the stretch is over, and calyxs have formed)

It is not recommended to defoliate autoflowering plants as they can experience stress, which can negatively impact the overall quality of the crop. It's best to allow the plant to naturally go through its growth and flowering stages without interfering with the leaves. By doing so, you give the plant the best chance to develop and produce optimal yields. Wishing you the best of luck with your cultivation!

hello, i think that is better to leave the damaged leaves because you can see the evolution of your problem and at the same time you don't accelerate the process. For the larger girl i think the same, she looks good and she started to flower so i should leave for now all the leaves to give her the right energy for the flower. Good luck!!
