Flowering times

Louderstarted grow question 3y ago
Breeders will often print flowering times on their strains but what does it mean? When they say "8-9 weeks or 56-63 days" what are they talking about? Is it the time measured from the day you flip to 12/12 or do they mean the time from when pistils start to show? Opinions needed.

I think its from when they show pistils. So usually I add an extra 7 to 10 days on the breeders time frame because that's usually how long after 12/12 my plants start throwing out pistils.

From the day you flip . But that is just a guide in optimal conditions. Most plants will usually take a bit longer .

Yes you have it correct it pretty much means you count from the day You started your 12/12 light cycle but also you can determine it from the tricomes sometimes plants need a little bit more time than it actually says hope this helps bud good luck they look good.
