Bud rot???

JustSmokeItB

Tips of Northern Light buds turning brown and dying. They just crumble to dust. I've cut away all of what I can see to be affected. I've read it's likely bud rot but I've always thought that would be more moldy looking. Just don't want it spreading to other plants. Any thoughts?

Yes unfortunately that's botrytis aka bud rot. Thing is it starts from the inside out. So by the time u can see it on the exterior the mold has taken a strong hold. Only in the very beginning it looks like typical mold . White wispy fluffy shit. But that only occurs on the interior of your bud formations. Hard to catch at that point as it's just starting out. Best first indicator is random dead leaves within your flowers, that seem very out of place. The fungai attacks the small stems of leaves and buds first as it's the easiest route of entry. Making that the first best indicator u need to inspect your colas. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

I'll be the third to confirm Botrytis. If that's PM on the leaves, definitely a sign that humidity is too high, lack of airflow, and/or hot stagnant air is not being expelled quickly enough. Can also be caused by catching the dusty gray spores outside and accidentally bringing it into your environment. Rain water can also carry the spores.
