Harvesting in 2 runs?

im considering harvesting in 2 runs… since im growing outdoors and i see most of the main colas are ready or almost ready but most of the side branches has not gotten enough light, so removing the main colas to get other parts of plants more light, but how do i go about it?

I've done this before and the benefits are negligible at best, i would just let the whole plant finish on it's own.If you only have a couple more weeks left just let them ride it out and harvest at one time.I wouldn't recommend 2 runs to dry unless you lack space to do them all at once.

so i just cut down the main stem from where i think is good and let rest stand? the plant will not die? or get sick from the cutting of the most of the main stem? never done it in 2 runs before som im at your guys mercy ;)

Optimal harvest time?Optimal time to harvest? I can see a few amber trichomes but find it hard to tell the clear and cloudy apart in my best effort pictures. Wet trim and get the kief?Is it worth it to pause the drying process and wet trim?
I am mostly asking this since I read it's easier to wet trim and I can hopefully extract some kief from the sugar leaves with a grinder in the process.
