Gentic Mutation vs Shell Damage

I have a Blackberry Gum in this grow that I say has mutated leaves; week 3 has a great picture of it. Is this a genetic mutation or what is going on? This plant has been like this since the shell fell off of it.

I wouldn't call it bad gentics Mutations in plants are just more noticed than slight Mutations with ourselves..weather it be a bigger base of a nail r big toe etc. And then, we see them really easy sometimes with ppl with disabilities Its nature for things to wanna go their own way. All phenos are in themselves mutations as no 1 pheno is ever the same. So, never uniformed. Or have the same look. I've had some of my best weed come off girls that started like this. Keep it going. Pushing on and you'll learn from it if anything. Been said with any grow you do. Nothing major to worry about. Good luck

Just bad genetics, not everything in nature is perfect. The same way that some people are retarded some plants with bad genetics are how I like to call them 'retards' aswel. If you got the space just grow it and see how this plant will develop. But if you do not have the space then I would get rid of this one as my first choice. Enjoy growing buddy!

I would say that this is indeed a genetic mutation. Leaf mutations are pretty common. Breeding strains is a complicated process that takes a lot of time and effort. Quality genetics from a reputable breeder is an important aspect to consider if you value consistency. The same cannabis cultivar can exhibit many different phenotypes, or plant styles, dependent on how it was bred. For homozygous (consistent) offspring, consider switching up your breeder, perhaps with an F1 hybrid variety, some of which have very high homozygosity levels (consistent results). That said, sometimes interesting results come out of the many different phenotypes a single strain can result in. I hope you enjoy it :)
