long veg??

is there a downside to letting a photo veg for couple months? eg loss of potency etc

Depends on the size of your pot. You can root bound them which will cause stress and mean more waterings . They will show pre flowers when it's well rooted which is a good indicator when to flip. A 15 litre pot I will usually veg for 7/8 weeks ish. Smaller pots u can veg for less time. It also depends on your training. If you high stress train a plant it will slow root growth. So you need more time in veg for it to recover.

Only down side is loss of time and energy, but if you got the time and funds then its fine. As with anything, over longer periods of time you are prone to more exposure of things that may harm it, yourself from bad lst for example, snap a branch, something falling on it or something causing a disease/infestation in the plant, These things exist for all plants. If your careful it's fine. If you going to veg long, try your hand at taking clones from the plant. Good Luck!

No. I veg mine for 2 to 3 months so they reach maturity before I switch the light schedule. Plus in the wild that is how they would naturally progress over a year. Good luck

Nope, not that I've heard of. Out door plants veg for months. Just gotta make sure you have the room for that big of a plant. Hope that helps growmie!
