No defoliation during vegetative growth (except if part of a structural training).
When I switch to flowering, I defoliate the main stems only.
When the stretch calm down and the flowers have appeared, I defoliate the secondary stems.
After that, it's just a matter of maintaining the plant by cutting the leaves that are too large and block the light to the lowest flowers, without reducing photosynthesis too much.

your smaller girl maybe will need selective defoliation in a month, taller one by construction of plant doubt will need any.

What happens to my autos ? Too much fertilizer ? Nutrient block ?First week I tried the devil and fertilized my autos as little as possible, knowing it was useless... Big mistake.
After that I could see signs of too much fertilizer, i.e. pointed leaves and since then, slow growth with very small leaves. What has happened?

Dark leaves and short/compact plant18 days from seedling. Dark and a bit rumpled/twisted leaves. Branches are coming out but they don't have much space to breathe from the big leaves. Started topping with some chicken manure pellets, too much nitrogen? Also, the 36W LED lamp is only 20 cm away.

My second plant is really a midget compared to the other one. Should i be worried? Hello! Growing this Wedding Cake Auto for 10 days, and it's 2 timesSame environment for both plants. Spaces between branches are super narrow. The stem is weaker than the other plant and leaves are curling down. Had a Ph issue earlier. Now giving her only Ph - 6.5 water. Will she bounce back? Stunted growthMy autoflowers that I'm growing outdoors was severely stunted during their growth. They are 8 weeks old, 4,5cm in height and is showing signs of flowering. I was told my nutrients was too synthetic for my organic soil mix and should switch nutrients. Are my plants still savable?
