the germination process is only a matter of genetics, a key factor is dark and wet. Use the paper towel soaked in water and put it into plastic bag and wait 24 - 48 hours.

Using small "Rockwool" cubes is almost foolproof. If you go to the germination week in my diary "cannabis conundrums", I have posted a tutorial for this method. I normally get 97-100% germination by starting them directly in soil, using a custom "seed raising" mix and using black plastic pots about 4 inches across and 5 inches deep.

I personally use bottled spring water with the method from Crop King. Only seeds that I've tried to germinate and didn't were old seeds or seeds found in with some buds. You won't find a method that can 100% guarantee germination. While the Crop King method works for me everytime when using quailty seeds, it doesn't work for other people and this is true for every method available. ILGM has a guarantee of 100% germination if you use a method they describe or they replace your seeds, I know that doesn't help you because you probably didn't purchase from them but here is a link to ILGM germination methods. https://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/growing/germinate-seeds/ Here is the link to the Crop King method I use. https://www.cropkingseeds.com/germination-marijuana-seeds/

Hello. Look this up www.edrosenthal.com/the-guru-of-ganga-blog/how-to-professionally-germanate-cannabis-seeds Myself I think it's the Pythium root rot fungus that causes most of the problems. The other is ph. I use filtered water to start mine or you can boil it and let it cool. A pinch of cinnamon because it's anti-fungal and has property's that are good for cloning and seed starting. I use Hydrogen Peroxide a couple of drops of 30% in a cup of water. This helps to loosen the membrane so the seed can get out easier. also adds oxygen to the water. The HP will also attack any fungus spores too. Evaporated water can still have spores in it and isn't clean for seed starting. If they are really old seeds, 3 or more years old, I'll also add some cloning gel. I think 8% or less moisture left in the seed, the seed won't grow. It might have enough energy to open the shell, but not enough to start. So first you need to store the seeds properly. Use an air tight container as soon as you get them. Good Luck. Chuck.

I don't really think anyone could guarantee a 100% method. Example is the seed may not be viable and would never germinate no matter what you did to it.

OO one last point, there is no such thing as 100% germination. most seeds I plant 3 in a container and pinch off the rest that don't make the cut but when weed being 15$ a seed thats not an option.

KISS, Keep It Stupid Simple. I soak mine and then into to the medium, when I soak them I can then see the shell crack and confirm it is not a dud seed. A lot of other just toss the seed in the dirt noting else, let it go from there. The more steps you involve the more likely something can go wrong. I would avoid paper towel as the baby root can get caught up in it and removing it can be an issue as much as leaving it on. Good Luck!
