For germinating seeds I use only purchased bottled spring water, not distilled and not RO because I want the good stuff in the bottled water to help start my seeds.

Boiled water mixed with dechlorinated water is good.

Hello. I use filtered water. The fungus Pythium Root Rot spores are everywhere. The chlorine doesn't bother the spores, they make it through to bother your seed. I also add .3 ml of cinnamon because of it antifungal properties and cinnamon can be used as cloning powder too. To 2 cups of water add 4 drops of 30% Hydrogen Peroxide. It helps clean the water and helps to break down the membrane inside the seed, making it easier for it to pop. After the first set of leaves are out the roots can handle the plain tap water with the Pythium Root Rot in it. That's what I do to start seeds. Chuck.

Almost all municipality water systems use chloramines not chlorine now as its much more stable and effective in the water table. chloramines do not evaporate out or boil out. you can neutralize it with a bit of vit c aka ascorbic acid or UV light, but its not needed. To the point of @Organoman, boiled water tents to be higher in PH as its getting more concentrated with minerals and most people do not clean their kettles. I don't think this will hurt them but its not ideal. Carbon filters like @Roberts suggested is a good way to remove some stuff as well, but its not really needed. As mentioned above the amount of chloramines in the water is so low you will not notice anything if you use it as is. You don't need to do anything with it. Tap is fine for most users and its what I use. If your water is dirty and their is a boil water advisory then yea bottle "spring water not distilled" or boiling it will be fine. Distilled water is robed of all minerals/nutrients and burns the root tips. Don't use it. ever try using saline drops in your eyes vs distilled. Its the same feeling. Good Luck!

If you are germinating a seed in soil that you've inoculated with mycorrhiza, or the soil has it in it, then gass off the chlorine. If not, who cares, leave the gas and pop your seed.

No, boiling water won't remove the chlorine. If water sits out for 2 to 3 days the chlorine will evaporate out. I personally Just use a charcoal filter and tap water. I use this water for everything.

If city water: fill bucket and let the chlorine off gas for 24 hrs. If we’ll water: just use it.

Bolied water from a kettle can have a very high pH.......you are better off using plain tap water that is fit for human consumption. I would personally never use distilled water for seed germination.
