What is the best way or does it make sense to cut your clone plants? I not mean make clones from clones ^^ I was growing already a couple times from seeds and from clones but I never cut my clones to have more branches

Clones don't usually have symmetrical growth like a plant from seed, so topping them is more about transferring dominance to lower branches and limiting the height of your plant.

cut clones off clones off clones off clones. Some people do it for decades with no genetic drift or weakening of the plants.. They don't always have to wither and deteriorate over time.

You can clone, clones from clones, the plant will start loosing its spunk after a few times.

I think you mean cutting a shoot that is opening above an already made set? If so this is topping. On autos they're are a bit of a taboo. Me do it sometimes to. More often than not. It doesn't end well. As autos can be triggered by stress into an early flip..they can flip early wit no stress. They're autos. But especially wit indicas r doing any fem I would recommend topping. Sativa as they focus on nodes. You want 4-5 sets. Indicas can yield more buds. So 3 sets topped many times, (if u top 1 node its advisable to top its sister node) anything you do on the right do on the left. This makes good energy balance..

Do you mean topping the clone once it’s growing and all? If so sure you can do that just the same way you would do with a non clone plant

People often overcomplicate this proces. You can simply cut them at a length of 10-15cm and stick them into a wet rockwool cube. Submerge the bottom in water(any kind of tray does) and refresh it daily. No, you won't need to be super precise , you can even use your fingers to break them off. And you don't need to cut off the edges of the leaves. You can use rooting hormones and certain microbes, but don't overdo it. Once the roots pop out, you can transplant them into soil. And yes it makes sense. You can choose the best phenotypes and they will allways have the same characteristics. You can keep a motherplant or use your normal girls, but using branches from young plants will make them take longer to produce roots. In any scenario and with any method i would always take more cuts then you will actually use.
