Is this just a deficiency. If so of what? Googled some but not sure. / First time grower.

This is a sign of calcium deficiency, but I see that your leaf looks pretty dark green so this could be the problem. If you add too much nutrients it can lock out other nutrients causing these issues. I suspect this is your problem. The other thing that could be causing this is too much pH fluctuation or your pH running out of range. In soil I shoot for a pH of 6.5 and in hydro I shoot for a pH of 6.0. So check your pH and if it is in range then I would back off the nutrients a little and it should stop the problem from spreading. Good luck!

Most likely Calcium or Ph related. But half a leaf does not a very good diagnoses make. Although it is clear and easy to see. Foliar feed Cal-mag to fix the leaves, or leave them they won't fix themselves. But make sure too add more cal-mag to the mix so that it doesn't spread. Or if you are fairly certain you have enough Calcium, Ph could be another culprit.
