Trim new branches in flowering stage?

ETHANol
ETHANolstarted grow question 2 days ago
Should I remove the newer branches that popped out on my plants? I switched it to flowering stage a week ago and I think my tent might be getting too crowded if I let them grow. But I also don’t want to stress the plant at this stage.

Doing a scrog.. Yes, 100% do it now. All will be blocked out so, u need to build the top as much as possible. Leaving bottom shoots on will sap energy from there.. Really should of been done during the stretch before preflower. But, its far from too late. No large stigmata on top (hairs) so she's still good to go imo. Really those nodes should be weaved thru and under the net, and only 1/4 or so of the top above the net. (Before pre flower).

You're not gonna get too crowded but perrsonally I'd remove anything that isn't going to reach canopy level unless you're wanting to get a bunch of extra fluff for extracts. Theses plants will probably double in height over the next couple weeks and everything south of your trellis net is gonna be blacked out by shadow. Don't worry about "stressing" your plants out. Honestly, I'm surprised growers on here aren't grinding up Prozac into their ferts with the way they go on about stressors lol. You'd be surprised how resilient cannabis really is.

its a controversial topic so heres a controversial answer in short in my opinion no. I do not prune or defoliate in the firs 20 days of flower or the first 3 weeks this is because the plant is already going through a very complex change. to add stress at this stage could tip the scales into hermy territory. now many many many growers will disagree with me and will say its completely fine. every branch you remove that is say halfway above the plant will be taking away a main or side cola that could of developed if left your plant will continue to grow branches for the next 3 weeks though after this time the plant will stop growing new branches and start putting energy into the flowers instead its exactly the same with the fan leaves they also stop making them in the later weeks and focus on the flowers this is what we want plants grow by photosynthesis and to do that the plant requires its satellites or fan leaves to absorb the light and turn that light into energy it can use the less fan leaves the less branches the less the plant will be able to photosynthesize making your buds smaller and overall getting less yield :) if your asking this because your humidity levels are getting high then a defoliation might be the right answer but if that's not the case then id just let them be for another 2 weeks until you start seeing flowers then do whatever defoliation you wanna do :) best of luck buddy
