If you need to do 12/12 to make it flower, you need to keep it on 12/12. If this is the case, you have a photoperiod, so treat it like a photoperiod as they probably screwed up packaging or had some unwanted-pollen contamination in their breeding process etc.
If you are using 12/12 because it is residing next to photoperiods in flower, that is fine too -- This assume same DLI given as before. DLI is what matters, not hours of operation - given common sense... don't try to give 40DLI over 1 hour of operation obviously, lol. But, whether it's over 12, 14, 16, 17, 20, et al it won't matter much. DLI is what dictates yield along with CO2 (max dli is limited mostly by co2)
