Coco grow: the EC of my runoff is consistently 0.2 mS/cm lower as what goes in (1.1 in at this time, runoff is at 0.9). Also, PH of runoff is at 5.8, while 6,5 goes in. Is this a problem? What causes this? Its been 8 days since germination and they look healthy.

Hi, can't say much about coco. But I see you use jiffies?? Correct? I stopped using it, because both, peat and coco jiffies were way too sour. I measured the run off and had PH 4 on the peat jiffies and PH 4,8 at the coco jiffies.
I had some losses in the past, thats why I checked them.

BioThrive Fertilizer Water pH & PPMI tested my BioThrive Bloom+CaMg fert water for the first time ever today; I've been feeding 4.5 pH & 340 ppm fert water solution; Soil pH is 6.7-ish per the Rapitest meter. First time testing PPM and slightly panicked :cRunoff was at 2200PPM. I flushed her with 5L of pH 5.8 water. I got the runoff to 1000PPM where I left it. The pH was at 7 though and was higher than before the flush. Why is that? I always pH before watering. Also, is the flush going to cause trouble for her? I kind of panicked.6y ago
