Haze xl auto Start of her 4th week. Straight ffof soil. She's had a couple feedings of fox farms bb at 1/4 strength. Wondering if I can start veg nutes and how much? Probably on the light side...no way to check pH.

that is hot soil, and not cut with perlite or anything, so i'd wait. The plants look extra lush and have some leaf curl. This indicaates there are plenty, if not too much nutrients in soil. i'd wait for a hint of yellow on cotyledons or if those were removed the first single bladed serrated leaves... or any hint of symptoms. definitely have to ramp up dose as the soil's contents are used up over time. it's always a little bit different with soil, but you can still becomes fairly familiar with a good process that works well. if i recall, FF suggests an extremely high EC at full strength. i'd take what they suggest and cut it in half. this is what you'll slowly ramp up to as the soil is depleted. uncut? FFOF should last 6-8 weeks or so, i'd guess. i'm not a fan of their nute line.. always missig something, always need to buy someting else that has no reason not being in the other bottles. fertilizing is simple.. not crazy complicated or unnecessarily sophisticated. i'd also sugest adding some perlite to any soil to reach 50/50 (including what perlite or vermiculite proportions came with soil out of the box). makes it virtually impossible to overwater. Does increase rate of irrigation, but will also use less while doing it... it still averages out for the plant the same as far asintake... if not better... more frequent irrigations can often help outcome.

Start feeding at quarter dose for the next week. Then move up in strength . Looking good taking up a healthy dose of nitrogen.

You need to be able to check the pH - there are some cheap ways of doing it that will at least get you in the ballpark! These strangely look like they're getting a bit too much nitrogen - very dark green - and I say "strangely" because FoxFarm's BB doesn't have a lot of nitrogen in it (I use this brand, too - and, like you, I have in the past used their BB as starter nutes). Since I don't use that soil, I'm thinking there's a lot of nitrogen in IT... I'm concerned here about the height... Since this is not linked to a diary (that would help us help you!), I will ask how close your lights are... whatever distance, try raising it and you should get some stretch. You might also want to give 1 tsp/gal of Fox Farm Microbe which will help the roots expand and give it a shot at avoiding future nute lockout... I honestly would not give the Grow Big... that's just going to hit her with far more nitrogen and you could end up with nute lockout... My best advice is to go buy some of those little paper strips that measure the pH of water - from a garden center or a pool supplier or wherever... you need to measure what you're giving your lady and also measure the runoff... if the runoff is way out of whack, you'll need to do a flush... Good luck and keep us posted! And DO link future questions to a diary -
