Having trouble maintaining/raising humidity, and not having a PH/EC meter right now isn't ideal. But it's going great considering my circumstances! I need to measure exactly how much I'm watering, and when. Hopefully this diary helps me with that, because I need to properly record my results and the details of my grow so I can control my conditions easier

Is there a way I can make sure my nutrient solution isn't too strong while I save for an EC meter? Should I just go off CANNA's chart and use the lower values? If anybody could point me in the right direction or show me a good canna coco chart that has worked for them, please do!

Aim for the lowest figure on the guide and maybe even take a couple of mil per L off as well. I never go anywhere near the recommended strength. Hopefully you have a ph meter as that needs to be pretty exact although I find 2ml ph down per 10L gets my ph to around 5.8 ish. Keep a eye for tip burn on the leaf to let you know if you have used a little more feed than the plants want.

This week was eye-opening. I think I was overly-anxious about keeping the Coco wet, and may have over-watered as I'm starting to see algae on the perlite. The plant is looking good I think so I'm happy so far. There's a learning curve after all

I'm starting to get algae on my surface perlite. Been feeding ~100ml twice a day, is this too much? I've also been keeping tubs of water inside my tent for humidity. Could this be affecting it? I'm just scared and confused 😂

Algae is growing off the moisture and nutrients left in and on the perlite. It won't harm your grow. Best of luck the rest of the way.

I'm growing inside my closet, and I'm having trouble controlling temp/humidity. I have an AC Infinity exhaust fan and a cheap amazon fan + wet towel blowing air in from the outside. Are there any cost-effective ways for me to control this? It can get a little warm/dry sometimes

Tent will always be 5-10 hotter then your atmosphere around it due to lights can try an make vents to pull cool clean air from room. for humidity control you can get a small humidifier you can pre set what you want it to be at. Just a lot of trail an error to correctly figure the perfect but I environment. I would definitely try to exhaust the air from the tent out the closet due it sucking out hot air an putting it back in. Another thing you can do is get some small 6in desk top clip on fans to put in the tent also to get more air circulation.

Eventful week! I got a new humidifier, which is so cool to look at. I also topped her as you can see from the pictures! I hope it worked, it seemed to do the job 😬 my dad needed a place to put a couple of his young plants in soil, so she has a couple roommates for now. I'm worried she's looking a bit wonky, but at the end of the day as long as the main branches are level I'll be happy. I'll probably be transplanting to the 20L air-pot soon! I also installed a temporary intake fan, it's not ideal, but better than my old fan simply blowing in from the same closet! Thanks to the people who helped with that!

So as a couple people suggested, I bought an intake fan, and am using it to bring air in from a different section of my closet. How can I stick the ducting to my tent's mesh? Is tape fine? Any other ventilation tips?😉😀

You could put a flange inside the tent facing out, tape the edges of the flange flat to the tent inside wall with duct tape and attach duct hose to the flange with hose clamp + tape. Or just skip the flange and tape the edges of the hose with duct tape but it might not be secure. If you forego the flange, you could push the hose in through the tent and run a small bbq skewer or stick the size of a bottle rocket stick across through the hose like a line going horizontally through a circle (the vent duct) then tape the stick/skewer and hose edges flat to the tent sealing all cracks. This would prevent the hose from falling loose easily without obstructing airflow. This application is literally what duct tape is for no matter what you do, seal it good for those odiferous runs. Best luck

What a week! I did lots of training, which as you can see by the pics, looks like it's going well! (I think 😬) Soft ties are so easy to use, and they're so effective too! She's now in her final container, hopefully her roots don't fill it out too quick! 😂 I'm having some trouble with draining my saucer by hand because I can't really get the last 10% with the syringe I'm currently using to suck it out, so maybe an auto-draining saucer would be a good idea. Either way, I'm very happy with the way the last week has gone. We're in for a heat wave this week, too, so wish me luck! Check back next week to see how she's dealing with the hot weather 😅

Good week! The Dr. Lemon has recovered from defoliation very nicely, and I think I'm gonna be flipping to 12/12 in the next day or two. I've been hand watering 3 times a day; at lights on, 7 hours later, and 7 hours after that. I'm excited to see how my scrog will turn out, too. I'm running out of space so I may not need to scrog this time around, however I'm going to hang the net up anyway. If anybody thinks she'll end up being too big for my 2x2, please tell me! I hope to become more organised with these grow diaries, eventually I'll get there. Feeling very nervous about the flowering stage, just want some good buds and don't wanna ruin it for myself!

Great week! She was pretty bushy when I first flipped to 12/12 on day 35, but after a lot of defoliation, she looked much better! I was worried I'd removed too much, but I was soon to be proved wrong by her amazing resilience. After putting the ScrOG net up, I realised it would have been a lot less hassle If I'd bought one of those ones already cut for size that are a little thicker with hooks on the corners, as this net is quite thin and tangly and a bit difficult to deal with. Within literally 2 days post-flip, she'd pretty much completely filled out the middle of the canopy, so that put my mind at ease. Eventually a couple branches started standing out, only a couple centimetres, above the others. No biggie, but I'll see what I can do! As she's getting taller and taller, however, I'm scared I'm gonna run out of space. I did a little extra defoliation today (day 42), I couldn't help it. I don't want to LST any more because there's no horizontal space left, so hopefully she doesn't grow too much in the next 2 weeks (which doesn't seem likely as she's been growing like a beast up until this point!) To be completely honest, I can only raise my light a couple of inches higher than what it is until I'm at the top of my tent. oops! I should be fine, I have some tricks up my sleeve. Overall, I'm really happy with how this week has gone!

Interesting week! Starting off I'd like to say just how much fun this whole thing is; I never thought I could love a plant this much. As you can see from the pictures, she's rapidly approaching my tent's height limit. Luckily this TS1000 is super amazing and runs really cool, plus I removed the light's driver from the tent which also helped. I know having the light so close still isn't ideal, so the plan is to put her in my dad's grow room once we've harvested his current grow (hopefully only a few days away), which means she'll be in a bigger space under a Lumatek ATS300w so you won't hear any complaints from me! As I've been having those problems with height, I got worried when she started getting a little bushy as it's only been 2 weeks since I last defoliated. So I gave in to my instincts and defoliated her today (Day 49), she had a small amount of dead growth at the bottom, and I removed a few fan leaves alongside some lower growth that looked like it had little potential. When I put her in the bigger space, I'll be able to look at the plant from all angles which will help me properly finish this defoliation that I started today. All in all, my only problems are coming from her being too healthy, and being too much of a beast! So still feeling pretty goooooood (also removed ScrOG net because it was just getting in the way and wasn't helping enough to warrant keeping it)

Started this week pretty worried about my girl, she got massive just like I thought and on day 53 (day 20 flower) I moved her to my dad's loft! Before that though, when I took her out of my tent, I gave her a pretty intense defoliation, ensuring that she'll receive sufficient light throughout the entire plant. I probably went a bit too far on the training considering this is my first grow, but no regrets so far. She's doing amazing! The loft isn't an ideal environment, but with the Lumatek ATS 300 my plant will definitely get plenty of light. Only issue is, the probes in the loft aren't calibrated right, which means I don't have a good idea on the specific temp all the time; and without my AC Infinity Controller 67, I can no longer check from my phone. So I have a lot less control for the rest of the grow, but the space has already been set up with late flowering in mind, meaning I probably won't have any problems with temp/humidity. Anyway, after being in the loft for a few days, she seems happy in her new home, and I'm so excited to see her buds fatten up. Check back next week to see how she's getting along!

Busy week for sure. At the start of the week I started seeing the trichomes develop round heads as they were maturing. It's been very cool to see the difference in them every day. I had some trouble at the start of the week getting the ATS300 angled correctly because of my Dad's cowboy setup, but it definitely worked for a while and I'm grateful. Luckily, we managed to get an AC Infinity 642 ordered and got her in there ASAP. The tent is 72 inches tall, and it's only supposed to be 60! That gave me some extra room above my canopy for the light/exhaust etc. and actually saved me a bit to be honest. Although this was started as a 2x2 grow and I had no intention of straying from that, my plant became such a beast that I did all of this to be safe. My second grow will be a lot more organised! I installed an upper trellis a couple of days after putting the 642 up. Again, I became a bit disorganized with training (for example, I took my LST ties off too early, removed my lower scrog net when I took her out of the 2x2, and I focused a bit more on defoliation). This net will pretty much be for support only, but it will definitely help even out the canopy. The trichomes, again, are looking great as I hope the pics show. Just anxious I defoliated too much as a novice because I don't want my buds to grow slowly. I also had an issue with high heat (28-30C) for the first couple days in the 642 while I was sorting the ventilation and placement of the dehumidifier. Now it's sorted. Adding PK 13/14 this week coming up! Thanks for reading! Happy growing 👊 KIZDOG

So this week I saw some decent bud development! There are a couple of colas with tips a little too close to the light, but they aren't getting super high PAR measurements so I think they're good. I added PK 13/14 this week, so I wanted to see some interesting changes. Not as much as I thought, but some flowers are noticeably much fatter than a few days ago. Had an issue with the top layer of my coco getting dry which I realised to be from the 15L dehumidifier I had in there, right next to my pot 😳 So that's now on full power in the room outside of the tent. The heat can be a bit of an issue, reaching 27-28c briefly some days. There's been a couple of fluctuations in the humidity, from 55% RH to 70%, so I've straightened the ducting and tried to perfect my ventilation and environment as much as possible. I'm debating buying a co2 bag to help my plant deal with the heat and intense light. The trichomes are really starting to show, with the 60x magnifier I can see so many cool heads. It just seems that my buds aren't really filling out beneath the pistils, causing me to worry. This week there were so many photos that even after picking out my favourites I ended up with 111 of them! Also, it's worth noting that the nutrient amounts I have listed are in *ml/1.5l. She had a great week! Not too much bud development, but seeing that she's mostly sativa, and I'm only really seeing a couple of brown pistils, I'm fine with her taking her sweet time! On Day 73 (39 flower) I installed a small co2 bag above my circulating fan; not sure how well it'll work, but a couple of my taller colas have been a little too close to my light but I didn't want to raise the Lumatek because I was getting really good amounts of light on the entire rest of the plant. Her colas are all super impressive and long. I really cannot wait to see how they turn out. I'm thinking 2/3 more weeks but who knows! Not much else to say really, she's getting really frosty as you can see from the pictures, other than that I'm just waiting for her to fatten up & ripen. Really wishing I did an indica strain but this seed was all I had as it was left over from my pops' last seed order. Oh well, I have the experience now and this is still gonna be a fucking banging smoke. Stay high people 🙌👽 Happy growing! KIZ p.s. i know that's a lot of pics

28/10 (day 80) - She's getting along nicely. A couple of the flowers in the middle of the plant are getting some brown pistils, nothing to worry about. I started adding around 0.5ml/l PK 13/14 to my fertigation water for this week just to make sure she's been given sufficient potassium. I wish I did more to keep my taller colas trained down; they're a little close to the light. 29/10 (day 81) - Seeing a few more leaves affected by what seems to be a Calcium deficiency or some kind of damage. The spots are really ugly to look at! I'm hoping she'll be done soon, but it looks like another 2 weeks at least. Her colas are so tall! 31/10 (day 83) - increased CalMag to 1ml/l. I realised that I was problably just giving her a bit of a weak dosage. The flowers look really healthy and strong, other than some of the tips that are too close to the light. Humidity is getting quite high sometimes (max. 70% RH), but most of the time is around 55-60% Overall this week has been a little worrying but mostly okay.

Her colas are getting so heavy, I've installed a second trellis net to support them. They are just crazy; got a little too tall and have been suffering from the light intensity, one of them even almost touching the LEDs! Honestly I'm so glad this AC Infinity 642 is 72" tall, she would've outgrown it otherwise. The net has evened the canopy a little more, giving my buds a better distribution of light exposure. The brown spots haven't seemed to spread too much since I've been giving 1ml CalMag/l, but they are for sure still there and bothering me. Oh well! I'm also slowly decreasing my A+B nutrients as I approach the final flush. Trichome production seems to have slowed, but they are maturing. Some lower down buds started getting brown pistils a while ago, but now the upper of the plant is starting to catch up. Just wish I could see the buds fattening out more noticeably. She smells INCREDIBLE. Such strong citrus, I could make lemonade with her 😆👽 happy growing! KIZDOG

Still not too much bud development sadly, but I've been doing my best to move the taller colas away from the light. Perhaps my feed is too weak (1/2 strength CANNA recommended nutes) but I'm just not sure. It's possible her sativa-driven genetics are making her take a little longer to fatten up, but again I don't know. Around halfway through the week I seemed to notice some progress, and it looks as though she's going to be absolutely fine. The colas are getting heavier each day too, so I'm probably just being impatient. Seeing a couple trichomes turn cloudy but nothing too crazy, they're still mostly clear so it seems she's just taking her time. I'm just so excited to smoke her! Lets hope she manages to finish up in 2 weeks. Even after just touching her for a second, my hands are covered with sticky citrus-y resin. I've put a small dehumidifier inside the tent, hopefully this will bring the RH down as she finishes up. Thanks for checking in! Happy Growing 👽👊🌿 KIZDOG

Week 10 flower! Wow, I haven't even started flushing yet, this is crazy. This week has been a good one; I've noticed the buds are gaining some weight (a lil later than I'd have liked them to but it's all good, as long as my impatience doesn't consume me). I'm still using a 50% strength full CANNA mix, using their coco schedule, and just continuing the 'week 8' nute measurements until I decide to start my flush. Trichomes are maturing nicely. A few have been turning cloudy over the last few days, so this makes sense considering the recent bud development I've been seeing. Everything seems to be coming together nicely. My 500ml dehumidifier is making a lil difference in the humidity but nothing insane, probably because I've placed it under my canopy near the floor. Can't seem to figure out a viable way to have it up top without leaking when I try to empty it. Everything is all good for now though I think! I would love to hear some feedback growmies! Lots of love 👊 KIZDOG 👽

Things have been pretty chill this week. I've been keeping a VERY close eye on her and how her trichomes are maturing. Basically just getting prepared for next week which is probably when I'll start flushing. Definitely a lot more cloudy trichomes covering her now. Buds are getting denser and have a more 'finished' look to them. Quite happy with her progress this week. Now we're approaching the end, I should probably think about getting my next girl germinated! I had a lovely time with this entire grow. I let this girl grow out a little more than I should have for my original 2x2 but I’m glad the 2x4 was available. She was an incredibly resilient strain and super nice for a first time grower like me. Had a couple of problems in flowering, but that will help me learn! Tastes absolutely amazing, all of my friends and family love her effects too.
