3 weeks absolute minimum, around 5 weeks is great........ if you have the patience. Curing is essential.

I dont care about curing at all. I just give it a good slow and long dry, after that my product is ready for consumption. The chlorophyll will break down nicely and you will have a smooth smoke without a scratchy feeling. My goal is to dry the whole plant for 14-16 days at 55% and 18 degrees celsius. After that i give it a dry trim and then i break the nugs down and jar them. For the first 10-14 days i open my jars for 10-15min daily, after that its finished for me. Store the jars in a dark and cool place to conserve the terpenes. Fill up the jars as much as possible. Its an option to use boveda packs as well if you plan to conserve the terpenes for a longer time. For the first weeks after drying, personally i like to aerate my buds before consuming them for a couple of hours to get rid of the last bit of soggyness in it.

I open my containers twice a day for a half hour at a time for the first three weeks. Then only open the container once a day for 30 min the next three weeks.

Once it's dry, most taste fine. some flavors will evolve over 3-4+ more weeks of curing. Kinda hard to predict which. I think how fast you dry it impacts this too. A fast dry is better off curing a while longer - there's no cutting curners, so to speak.
