Looks like a male -- no hair and the 'pod' looks segmented - as if it would open up on those 'lines' you see... which is exactly how a pollen sac opens up. A calyx's envelope doesn't look like that.
That's big enough you can pull it off, slice it open, and peak inside. Some magnification is likely needed. You can very easily distinguish between a pod of nanners or 2 hairy pistils (stigmata). In case it is a pollen sac, do this in a different room of your home. The pollen should not be viable before the pollen sack matures, but do so just in case.
You want to figure it out before that pod opens on its own.
