HERM POLEN..HERM SEEDS?

CHILLINNN
CHILLINNNstarted grow question 20 days ago
There was a hemaphrodite that I took some pollen from and to do some tests I pollinated a female. The question for more experienced people is as follows. It's really a seed that's growing in the photos, right? Since the pollen comes from a herm, the seeds will be herms too or fem?

https://www.growweedeasy.com/what-happens-if-i-grow-seeds-from-a-hermie-plant Hermie trait is dominant, so even good to hermie or hermie to good will have same results as selfpolinated. And i think you would gave regular seeds, not Feminised even if it would be good seed.

Firstly, herm pollen WIIL produce seeds with a genetic dominance for being hermies too. The seeds WILL NOT be feminised. Femiized seeds DO NOT come from hermie plants, they come from plants that have been chemically treated to reverse their sex........there is a big difference. In the second picture, yes, there is a seed growing in that calyx...........a seed that will grow into a hermie plant. Never use pollen from hermie plants for breeding.........unless you are trying to breed an inferior strain of hermie hemp.

Hello. If you go to our journal - the bottom button on the left, the one just below the new tractor. Click on that... go to unread and go back 3 months... There's an article about hermy seeds and growing hermy seeds... Pluses and minuses of hermys... Check it out.

Yes, to your answer. As you used bad genes introducing to breed seeds is not good. Higher chance that will cross over into the batch of seeds. Most likely they'll be regs also You don't use hermie pollen as a general rule imo.

If it comes from a herm, it will be feminized seeds, but if it naturally hermed you are passing down a very bad trait - it doesn't mean they all will be herms but definitely increases the risk for no reason. all fem seeds come from a hermie plant, but they don't naturally pop nanners and sacs. A chemical or other procedure is done to cause the development of male pollen sacs. Can't tell if anything is pollinated for sure. Could pull off a calyx and dissect it. Lone "nanners" are not very productive and often have inviable pollen, but if you had a pollen sac, that could pollinate 100s if not 1000s of seeds by itself.

not worth your time. Bin it and start over. unless your goal is to have more hermi.

Those seeds should be feminized since they originated from two female genetics, even if one was a hermie. Nonetheless i wouldnt grow those, because as the other guy mentioned those will have a dominant hermie trait.
