Hi, your plants still look too young to reach the bottom of the pot, which is completely normal. I’d guess you're around week 3. I recommend continuing to hand-water them from above for about two more weeks. You can then activate the Autopot system and observe whether the substrate stays consistently moist. The earliest indication that the plants aren't receiving enough water is when they start to droop. Good luck! You've made a great choice with Autopots.

Like someone already mentioned growing out of 100% coco is going to be tricky and I honestly can't see autopots working with any decent results. It looks very compact too, hard to tell on photos but root problems will be the next problem and then pest due to unhealthy plants. Coco need perlite, clay pebbles to thin it out so oxygen can get to the roots, failing this will have detrimental effects on the roots and the rest of the plant following by suffocation, low brix levels and pests not far behind... Good luck growmie...

that's a pretty big pot, i bet teh roots will be deep enough before that point. keep count since transplant and see how it goes... adjust in future based on this cycle's experience.

if it were me i would top water a little while longer just to be sure...if you switch it over you are no longer in control of the water amount she will receive... i think autopots are a great system but they require an established and healthy root system to work properly...so what's a few more days of hand watering if it insures success of the autopot system. that's what i would do

If your plants have been in those pots for four weeks, their root system should be well-developed, meaning your AutoPot system would be ready to be hooked up. I typically connect mine about 10 days after transplanting to AutoPots. However, I may have some bad news—your plant is likely stunted, and I expect it will continue to struggle throughout the grow. The issue is that you’re using coco without perlite or another aerating amendment. If I remember correctly, AutoPot recommends a 60/40 coco-to-perlite ratio when using their system. The reason is that coco holds moisture extremely well—so well, in fact, that with the AutoPot system constantly providing water, the roots can become deprived of oxygen. I see you’re using the AirDome system, which helps, but without perlite, it won’t effectively aerate the substrate until the roots have reached the very bottom of the pot. Until that happens, they’re likely not getting enough oxygen. To try and save the grow, you’ll need to encourage root expansion. This may sound counterintuitive, but I recommend stopping watering until the medium dries out significantly. This will force the roots to grow outward in search of moisture. You may need to repeat this process a couple of times before hooking up the reservoir. Right now, the roots likely have no incentive to expand because the coco is keeping them constantly moist. Drying it out periodically should help promote stronger root development and give them a better chance at reaching the AirDome

Hi also nicht unbedingt.
